WE DID IT!
Congratulations to all the successful Republican candidates for November.
- Donald Trump for President
- Larry Hogan for US Senate
- Neil Parrott for Congress
- Cheryl Riley for Congress
What hard fought races and great opponents, on to victory in November!
All our folks running as Trump Delegates were chosen to go to the Milwaukee convention, and in the non-partisan race conservative Brenda Diaz looks like she’ll go on to the Board of Education run-off.
Thanks to all our hard workers – during early voting and at the polls on a rainy election day. Organization Chair Ann Hingston and Outreach Chair Brad Botwin were great, as were our polling site coordinators and so many folks who staffed the polls greeting people, installing signs and working the office. It was amazing.
Volunteers got so many Democrat and Independent sign-ups for the 2T Charter Amendment, it was heartening.
Yes, I heard you, so many days of early voting is a waste of time and money. If you’ve got a great campaign story, please tell me.
Thanks for being a great American, a great Republican and a hard worker.

WHY DON'T YOU REPUBLICANS DO MORE?
By Stacey Sauter
ARE YOU HEARING THIS RANT FROM ANYONE YOURSELF?
IF SO, GIVE AS GOOD AS YOU GET!
I’d just sat down to lunch last week when, out of the blue, I received a phone call from someone I know who immediately launched into a tirade about receiving a postcard from the Biden campaign.
“Why aren’t you Republicans doing this?” she ranted. “I did not get one piece of mail from you before the primary. No wonder the Democrats have taken over here!” She’s an independent who leans right, so I was grateful to hear her ire over the Democrats, but my wrath was rising with accusations that the MCGOP wasn’t doing anything. Plus, the piece she received was from a national campaign with scads more money.

“You need to bring in some high-profile influencers. A celebrity, who will energize the people, especially younger ones. Really get their attention,” she went on, mentioning a few artists. “Any good contacts?” I responded, knowing personally how difficult it is to book speakers for our events, let alone Drake or Lil’ Wayne.
I then explained how we’d recently held our county convention and that former ICE Director, Tom Homan, and Sebastian Gorka, a well-known former Senior Advisor to Trump, both spoke and that we had over 200 attendees. While neither performed hip-hop, they did give crowd-pleasing and rousing speeches.
“Why didn’t I know about the convention? Why wasn’t it advertised?”

SPANISH LANGUAGE RADIO MEGA RESULTS
Why have we had over 12,000 views of the Ad on our Montgomery County Republican Party Facebook site so far?
Everyone who speaks Spanish is not the same...but the Republican message resonates with almost everyone!
Indeed, we're all the same...we're all different. All English speakers don't come from the same places and backgrounds, the same for Hispanics. In our diverse MoCo our top languages are English, Spanish, Chinese and then follow the chart with almost every language under the sun.
MCGOP has a Spanish language ad on La Jefa AM 700 WDMV, produced by the Maryland GOP Hispanic-Latino Outreach Committee.
If you speak Spanish check it out. HERE.
Essentially it says Vote Republican...you can't afford NOT TO!
If you'd like to donate so we can put more Ads on the air you can do that below. And thanks for your support!

WHO'S YOUR FAVORITE DEMOCRAT PRESIDENT?

Survey from last week was interesting. So far Biden and Obama got no votes, most popular Democrat President in the past 50 years among Republicans was Clinton, followed by Carter!
As we go on to the election in November it might help to look at the past and see what's relevant.
THANKS TO ALL WHO WORKED THE POLLS

Most stories were of Republicans, Democrats and Independents working together, with thoughtfulness and humor, to make democracy work. Thanks for keeping it civil and making our choices known.
MARC ELRICH'S CHICKENS COME HOME TO ROOST

By Lori Jaffe
Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich gave his State of the County (SOTC) address on May 2nd, 2024. He lamented that our Police Department is understaffed, and it has a recruitment problem. But what he did not say was that his own policy helped make that happen. You can help the Committee for Better Government limit him to two terms, but you must act soon. Ten thousand valid signatures must be gathered by August 2024. (See below).
So why is the Montgomery County Police Department “almost 170 officers short?” According to Elrich, “We can’t even field the people we need to cover the county right now.” It will “at best take 2 to 3 years to get it back on track to staff this department.” “We cannot operate with these few police officers.”
Montgomery Perspective quotes the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 35. “The low morale is driven by laws, enacted or proposed, that have had negative effects on the way law enforcement officers do their job.”
